We had a blast vacationing in Vietnam last June. Except for a minor incident when my iphone was snatched by a motorcycle-riding tandem in Ho Chi Minh City, there was certainly so much to marvel and learn from.
What drew my interest was the tours focusing on the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese are a strong, resilient people. Despite the hardships they have been through due to the long-drawn war, they have been able to recover fast. Undoubtedly, this would not have been possible without the hard work, the pride, the grit, the discipline of its people. If only for that, I have nothing but admiration for this hardy race. Truly fascinating!!
