The Caitlyn Clark saga continues. She hit a temporary speedbump last week when the Iowa Hawkeyes lost to the powerhouse South Carolina Gamecocks in the Women’s NCAA championship game 87-75. And with nothing much to prove in the college game, Caitlyn will now strut her wares in the WNBA.
This summer, take a trip to Corregidor. Spend time to learn about our rich military history. Bring the kids with you. And inculcate in them the values of honor, courage, patriotism and love of country. Develop that sense of leadership and national pride in our youth. We must shape a more peaceful and secure future, and that can be achieved only if we have a full appreciation of the lessons of the past.

Tomorrow, Caitlyn and her crew will face the taller South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gamecocks, unbeaten this year and having steamrolled past the North Carolina State Wolfpack 78-59, are another formidable team. But the Hawkeyes are unfazed. They have met the Gamecocks in last year’s Final Four, when they cut the bigger Gamecocks down to size.
