As we step into 2024, the dreams for Philippine sports are ambitious yet achievable. By investing in youth development, enhancing local leagues, and promoting diverse sports, the Philippines can cultivate a thriving sports culture that not only produces champions but also inspires and unites the nation.
Caloy’s Paris Olympic adventure has ended. But it has paved the way to economic freedom, to open doors to new adventures and new opportunities, and finally, to personal fame and glory. His story will definitely not end with the Olympics. On the contrary, his recent success in the Olympics is just the start of more success stories ahead. Not just for him, but certainly for the hundreds and thousands of kids who will look up to him as an inspiration and model.
2021 has been a good year for Philippine Sports. We hope to see more and better results from our athletes in the year ahead. Given the leadership and the wise counsel from the PSC and the POC, we are more confident of the road up ahead.
