The Emirates NBA Cup 2024 has been a fast and furious affair that has seen the best squads get waylaid to the sidelines. It has been brutal, with luck playing a key role for the surviving teams. Now down to only four, it’s the Bucks and the Hawks; while in the west, we’re down to the Thunder and the Rockets. My fearless forecast: it will be the Hawks against the Rockets for all the marbles.
The 16 playoff spots have been filled. It’s on to the NBA playoffs. Will it be the Lakers? Or will it be the Bucks this time? Will the Clippers be able to mount a challenge? Will the defending Raptors work their magic once again? Who you got?
The NBA pre-season is over. The gladiators of the cage arena are done experimenting with line-up rotations, trial offensives, defensive innovations and fancy new individual moves. It is time for the real deal. Come one, come all, it’s time to rock and roll!!!
The teams are so competitive, and the playoff match-ups will be crucial. Each team must have a ready foil for the type of weaponry employed by their adversaries. Be it a long-range missile, a fast-firing machine gun, a big battering ram or a small silent bladed weapon up close, the defense must be prepared with an answer.
