Edson Arantes do Nascimento, the man, is dead. But Pele – the legend, the icon, the inspiration, the king – shall live on forever. He may have left our physical world, but the countless feel-good memories he has left us with, the joy and laughter and inspiration he gifted us, the message of love and humanity he poignantly demonstrated on and off the court; these and more will always remind us of his omnipresence.
