This is a bit late, I know. Been kept busy the past few days. But I want you to know that I love you, Mama, even though you’re now in paradise. And I want the world to know what a wonderful mother you were to me. So here goes…
On the special occasion of Mother’s Day, I would like to express my deepest gratitude, admiration and love for my mama, one of the most influential persons in my life. Throughout my life journey, she was always around to guide me. She was the cornerstone of my growth, instilling in me in her own humble way the values of discipline, responsibility, and resilience. My mama’s unwavering resolve to provide me with a quality education has truly played a significant part of my life’s successes. She worked tirelessly, sacrificing her time and energy to ensure that I had access to better learning opportunities. Her perseverance and commitment shaped my learning basics, leading to my modest academic achievements, and setting me on the path to a bright future.
Beyond basic education, my mama also imparted invaluable life lessons that have molded me into the person I am today. Through her guidance and inspiration, I have learned the importance of hard work, integrity, and empathy. She was my rock, providing support and encouragement in every endeavor, teaching me to face challenges with courage, integrity and strong determination. As I reflect on her selfless love and all the sacrifices she had to take, I am filled with profound gratitude for all that she did for me. Mama was not just a parent; she was a role model, a mentor, and a source of inspiration.
And so, on this Mothers’ Day, I want to honor this truly wonderful lady who shaped me into who I am today. Today, and every day, I shall endeavor to celebrate her unwavering love and devotion. For all the poignant memories of the living and loving and learning she so generously afforded me, I shall strive to leave behind a noble legacy that shall make her proud.
Thank you, Ma. I love you.
