Cradled in the azure embrace of the Western Philippine Seas, somewhere north of Palawan, lies a tranquil island barely touched by the bustle of modern life. The island of Busuanga is a serene haven that is home to 2 municipalities – Busuanga to the north and Coron to the south. The island boasts of numerous islets with powder-soft beaches that stretch endlessly, inviting gentle waves to caress your feet. Surrounded by lush, verdant landscapes, the island is a frontierland of natural beauty and adventure. Its humble offerings: hidden coves, resplendant beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and lush jungles waiting to be explored. The atmosphere is generally peaceful and quiet, particularly in the lesser populated town of Busuanga. It is far from the crowded tourist spots, allowing visitors to truly unwind and reconnect with nature. The local people are warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, eager to share their rich culture and traditions.
With our gracious hosts, Ruel Nacachi and Andrea Gimenez, we had a grand time lounging under the palm trees, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and simply soaking in the breathtaking views. Together with our good friends Gerry, Lyn and Gem Amante; my wife, Wit, and I felt an authentic sense of tranquility and and pure relaxation. This island is a perfect retreat for those seeking solitude, beauty, and genuine hospitality in a stunning, untouched setting.
