a reblog from Writings (nishalmitha.wordpress.com)
I just read a nice article from a new friend, God God, on the secret to happiness. And it resonated well with me. His proposition was: if you want to be happy all the time, then you must never lose the child in your heart. One must always maintain the demeanor of a child, sweet and innocent, with the child’s positive qualities such as open-mindedness, curiousity, wonder, playfulness, etc, with no cares, no pain, no hatred in your heart. And I wish to share this beautiful piece here.
“The secret of happiness is to never lose the child in your heart.”
To be a kid at heart means that even as we grow older and take on responsibilities, we still keep alive the spirit of childhood within us. It’s not about being childish, but rather being childlike — open, joyful, and full of wonder.
A person who is a kid at heart enjoys life with enthusiasm. They smile easily, laugh freely, and see beauty in everyday things — like the sound of rain, the colors of the sunset, or the taste of ice cream. (To continue, please click on the link: To Be A Kid At Heart.)
I enjoyed the wind that’s blowing my face now. I think it’s a feeling of a kid at heart. Beautiful thoughts!

That’s great, Hazel! Let’s take the small first steps to make us young again. If you start to do good, and then you feel good, and eventually, you will be on your way to looking good!

I have never grown up, and I think I am a better man for “holding off” on that. My wish is everyone keep the child in their heart, and if that was the case the world would surely be a much better place.

Indeed, Bruce. If only we can relearn the good things about childhood, if only we can keep the sweet innocence alive, this would certainly be a better place to live in.
Cheers, my friend!
