I have remained silent over the preparations for the SEA Games in the hope that our athletes may not be subjected to undue distractions. Suffice it to say that I am rooting for our athletes, despite the many problems I have witnessed with Philippine Sports. Reform Philippine Sports stands committed in support of the country’s efforts to host and compete in the incoming SEA Games.

The movement to Reform Philippine Sports (RP Sports) came into being due to the growing clamor to arrest the tide of disrepute in Philippine Sports. Athletes and sports fans have closed ranks. People are now slowly waking up. Indifferent no more, people now realize that a weak Philippine Sports image will affect the youth of tomorrow. It will also reflect on a weak, ill-disciplined, unprofessional people. It is time for change. A time for Reform and Renewal.
But while this battle may have been won, the war is not over yet. The POC coup pals continue to crawl their way around, hoping to agitate, hoping to tempt other NSAs like the proverbial snake in the garden of Eden. We must remain vigilant.
What makes them deserving when there’s nothing in their credentials to merit another try? What new ideas are they armed with this time to excite us? Shall we allow these coup pals to get back in power?
