Recalling Those Growing Up Years

Now, I carry these memories as reminders of where I came from. And the journey I have taken. And even in my senior years now, it serves as a guide to help bring me closer to some of my unfinished dreams. The kindness of Ms Chan, the tragic death of Francis, the warm welcome I got from new friends in Tagbilaran, all these and more, have to a certain extent shaped the person I would grow up to be.

The tagline encapsulates the way I intend to live the rest of my life. It shows the continued aspiration to live a life well-lived, highlighting the key aspects that contribute to a meaningful and fulfilling existence, while adding laughter now to enjoy its essence. Each component – living, loving, learning, and leaving a legacy – plays a unique role in shaping my experiences and relationships that may impact the world around us. Adding laughter puts the joy and the fun – and the life! – in the journey.

Reunited, And It Feels So Good

Despite the passage of years, and the different paths we took, and the diverse views we may have developed through the years, there remain among us that special bond that brought us together during our early teenage years. It is an amazing glue that has kept us close. Even for those who have found a better life for themselves and their families in other countries, there still remained that yearning to reconnect and reminisce those beautiful memories of our high school days.
