Jade Solutions and Management Services (Jade SMS) recently inaugurated its office in Las Pinas last October 2024. Peopled by experienced and passionate HR practitioners, Jade dreams of being able to contribute to the country’s economic development in its own small way. Here’s a glimpse of the new kid on the block, Jade SMS, and its dreams and aspirations.

My picks to go to the semis next week: it will be the veterans from the Knicks and the Bucks in the east; while the upstarts in the Mavs and the Rockets will do battle in the west.
The Philippine national basketball team, under the guidance of coach Tim Cone, is on an upward trajectory marked by historic achievements and a promising future. With a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents, coupled with a strong coaching philosophy, Gilas is poised to make waves in international basketball.
Six young men, all PMA graduates, all lieutenants, all Scout Rangers, all sons of general officers with four bearing their father’s first name—all fell under combat conditions while in noble service to the nation. They could have easily stayed on safer grounds; instead, they chose the difficult path. They chose to be Scout Rangers.
We were once upon a time grizzled warriors – fighting, bleeding, dying and surviving together through nameless battles – accomplishing remarkable feats, enduring heartbreaking losses, making silly mistakes and, as the Scout Ranger Song goes: “seeking and fighting and laughing and loving, Scout Rangers of fortune are we!”
Indeed, the present Gilas men’s basketball program continues to make waves. They may not be as star-studded as the FIBA World Cup edition under coach Chot, but the team chemistry, the winners’ mindset, and the basic fundamentals in both defense and offense are there. What Coach Tim has done has been a minor miracle, building up the right environment to make this team what it is today.
