On the occasion of the 74th First Scout Ranger Regiment Founding Anniversary last Sunday, Nov 24th, I am reblogging this article on the reunion of the members of the original 1st Scout Ranger Company held last April. Once upon a time, we were young, aggressive, tireless warriors under the newly-revived Scout Ranger Group. And it was a great privilege and honor to have toiled and cried, laughed and loved, with these magnificent men they call the Scout Rangers. (To know more about the Rangers, please click on the title below.)
Thanks Charly. I read the original again. It’s important to keep this legacy fresh in our minds.

Yes, Don. A lot of my contemporaries with the Rangers really take an annual visit to Ranger camp during anniversary day. It has become a ritual for them, to honor the unit and the men who made the unit what it is today.
