Let us join hands to make our country proud. Let us work together for a stronger Filipino youth. Let us teach our children proper conduct through professionalism in sports, espousing the correct values of teamwork, fair play and true sportsmanship. This should never be about our own personal aggrandizement. This should always be about our athletes, our people, our future. Only through this can we start hoping for a better Philippines ahead for our children.
With Peping and his sports mafia slowly being pushed out of the picture, there is now a better chance for redemption for Philippine Volleyball. With that, our hopes and dreams for a united, non-politicized, no-frills-no-mafia Philippine Volleyball can prosper. With the SEA Games almost done, we hope that the new leadership in the POC will finally address this big anomaly in Philippine Volleyball.
The problem in Philippine volleyball is really about grave abuse of power and authority of the POC, and its shameless attempt to control a particular sport. It was proven in the last two FIVB Congresses how POC lied to the FIVB GA to create LVPI at the expense of PVF. Why is nobody raising an effort to right this grievous injustice?
