My daughter, Alyssa, joined the VSO Bahaginan Internship Program recently. VSO Bahaginan is a non-government organization that has projects addressing poverty and the disadvantaged here and abroad. For more info, visit their website at: http://www.vsobahaginan.org/. Good training for leadership and service. And I love her dearly for that. (Not good for the pocket though. Haha! But then, she’s never been one to prioritize monetary gain.)
Alyssa’s group has been deployed recently to Talisay, Cebu, where they are tasked to help in a facility that caters to the deaf community. To chronicle their activities, Aly’s British counterpart, Lily, has created her own blogsite. You can take a peek at their work at: http://hearnoevilspeaknoevil.blog.com/.
My little girl is spreading her own wings now….
